Section 1

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on SlotBook, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and Payment Terms ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SlotBook.

These Terms apply to all users of SlotBook, including businesses that list services ("Business Accounts") and customers who book appointments ("Customer Accounts").

Section 2

Description of Service

SlotBook is an online booking platform that allows businesses to publish a public booking page and accept appointments from customers. SlotBook provides scheduling tools, email notifications, availability management, and a customer-facing booking interface.

SlotBook does not process payments between businesses and their customers. Any financial transactions between a business and its clients occur outside of SlotBook.

Section 3

Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Business Account. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@slotbook.ca if you suspect unauthorized use.

Each business slug (slotbook.ca/your-slug) is unique and granted on a first-come, first-served basis. SlotBook reserves the right to reclaim slugs that violate these Terms or have been inactive for more than 12 months on a free plan.

Billing cycle

Business accounts are billed monthly on the anniversary of the date your free trial ends.

Payment methods

SlotBook accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. SlotBook does not store your full card details.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will retry the charge and notify you by email. After three failed attempts over 7 days, your Business Account will be suspended. Your data is retained for 30 days, during which you can reactivate by updating your payment method.

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where required by law.
Section 5

Free Trial

New Business Accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all Business Plan features. No credit card is required to start your trial.

At the end of the trial period, you will be asked to enter payment details to continue. If you do not add payment details, your Business Account will be downgraded and your booking page will be taken offline. Your data will be retained for 60 days.

SlotBook reserves the right to limit or modify free trials at any time.

Section 6

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel your Business Account subscription at any time from your dashboard settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then.

Refund policy

SlotBook does not offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, your plan remains active until the period ends and no further charges are made.

Exceptions may be considered at SlotBook's sole discretion for exceptional circumstances (e.g., billing errors, duplicate charges). Contact info@slotbook.ca within 14 days of the charge.

Account deletion

You may request full account deletion at any time. Upon deletion, your booking page is removed immediately and all associated data is permanently erased within 30 days.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SlotBook to:

SlotBook may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

Section 8

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to SlotBook (business name, service descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant SlotBook a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content to operate the service.

SlotBook does not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Section 9

Limitation of Liability

SlotBook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlotBook and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

SlotBook's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to SlotBook in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

Section 10

Changes to Terms

SlotBook may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active Business Account holders by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of SlotBook after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
